BBQ House Decorating Ideas

Decorating a restaurant or even a home to have the theme of a classic BBQ house can be done with specific types of decor and paint coloring on the walls, or as a theme in the restaurant in general. Much of the physical decor in the BBQ house decorating scheme can be purchased at party stores, antique stores or at flea markets.

Red and White Checkered Tablecloths
Red and white checkered tablecloths are the classic tablecloths in many famous and classic BBQ restaurants. These types of tablecloths should be purchased and put over all of the tables serving food at the BBQ or where people are going to eat during a BBQ. These tablecloths can be purchased at most party stores as cloth tablecloths, which are more expensive, or as plastic tablecloths, which can be spilled on and thrown away once the BBQ is over. This will immediately give the feeling of a BBQ to all guests.

Sauce Colored Walls
What makes BBQ most memorable is the BBQ sauce and its dark red color. For a real convincing decorating base to the entire house or restaurant serving BBQ, paint the walls of the area where the BBQ is occurring the same color of the sauce. These rich, dark red walls will instantly evoke the desire to have BBQ. Having chairs or tables that are this color will also help encourage this feeling. However, this should only really be done in rooms that regularly have BBQs.

Farm or Ranch Equipment
Hanging old fashioned farming or ranching equipment from the walls is another interesting type of decor that will help push the authentic BBQ theme. This decor can range from farming hoes or pitchforks, unique-looking pieces of driftwood, authentic iron or old-fashioned grilling equipment and even barbed wire that is still attached to a fence post. These tools and other ranch-oriented items should be secured against the wall of the house or set up in the corners of the room or around the BBQ serving area, out of guests' way so that nobody gets hurt by these items.
